Shak neshta day, Khooye ye da Qaarun ba wo

There is no doubt that his nature was like Qarun’s

Teet may nazar khud sho, Che mamnun ba wo

But I lowered my gaze; perhaps he was grateful

Chorus:

Ta Islam, Pukhto, ganrra dwa, za wayam

You may consider Islam and Pashto as two, but I say

Khuday hom ka insan way, Nu Pukhtun ba wo

If God were human, He would have been a Pashtun

Verse 2:

Khkari marawar na wo ashna zama

It seems my beloved was not upset with me

Maa che warta swal okro raastun ba wo

Whenever I pleaded, he would return

Bay la ghama maa ta ye sa prenakhwal

Without sorrow, he left me nothing

Daa me pre shak raghay che beltun ba wo

I doubted that it might have been separation
